Irish Coffee

Ingredients

  • 15 cl fresh hot coffee
  • 1 tblsp brown sugar
  • 30 ml whiskey
  • 15 ml thick cream

Method

  • preheat a footed mug with hot water for a minute, then pour it away
  • pour hot coffee into the glass (if using turkish coffee, filter it through a thick gauze)
  • add brown sugar and stir to dissolve it
  • blend in whiskey
  • pour cream gently over the back of a spoon to top it with a collar

Serving

Serve hot in a footed mug or a transparent coffee cup.

Variants

a) Use 30ml of Bailey's instead of the cream. Skip the sugar.
